Job summary

Field AI is seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer to design, build, and maintain a scalable Playwright/TypeScript testing framework. You will work closely with Product Engineering to define test strategies before features are coded and own the CI/CD gateway to keep builds fast and reliable.

You will write end-to-end tests that validate robotic API interactions, data ingestion workflows, and high‑frequency browser/API test runs, while ensuring pristine test environments and robust data

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in related field.
• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern OO/functional languages.
• Hands-on Playwright experience with advanced patterns.
• Shift-left mindset with embedding with developers and PR reviews for testability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable automated testing framework using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Embed within Product Engineering teams to define test strategies and selectors before coding.
• Own the CD gateway to reduce PR build times and improve stability.
• Write end-to-end tests that simulate robot APIs and data workflows.
• Develop test data management strategies and pristine test environments.
• Build observability and dashboards to surface regressions and product health.
