Job summary

Avyanna Technologies is seeking a senior automated testing engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable test frameworks and pipelines. You will drive API, integration, and end-to-end testing across complex FSA systems, ensuring high release quality and velocity.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, a BS in a technical field, and hands-on expertise with CI/CD, GitLab, and Jira. Remote work is supported with occasional onsite visits to DC area as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in automated testing and QA for complex systems.
• Proven ability to design and build automated test frameworks and pipelines that improve release safety and velocity.
• Strong hands-on experience creating reliable tests across API, integration, end-to-end, and workflow-level scenarios.
• Experience identifying quality risks early and working with engineers to prevent defects before release.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and pipelines spanning API, integration, end-to-end, workflow, regression, and release-readiness testing.
• Develop reliable automated tests for complex, cross-system product flows and integrate execution into CI/CD workflows.
• Diagnose flaky tests, environment problems, test-data issues, and release failures; implement durable fixes.
• Develop practical test strategies that balance execution speed, coverage, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to test standards, metadata, data patterns, dashboards, quality metrics, and automated release gates.
• Serve as a quality and test-strategy lead, defining enterprise testing standards and readiness criteria.
• Provide testing inputs for sprint reporting, KPI dashboards, release-readiness reviews, and defect analyses.
