Job summary

Avyanna Technologies is seeking a senior platform engineering leader to design and evolve internal platform capabilities, automation, and CI/CD pipelines for federal education programs. This role is primarily remote with occasional onsite work at the FSA in Washington, DC based on project needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Experience designing and evolving internal platforms for faster delivery and reliability.
• Experts in infrastructure automation, pipelines, environment design, and secure provisioning.
• Ability to standardize observability and release controls across applications.
• Experience building self-service platform capabilities and reusable patterns.
• Hands-on platform leader who sets standards and drives adoption.
• Delivery of measurable outcomes in complex, mission-critical environments.
• Collaboration across engineering, product, design, security, and stakeholders.
• Clear documentation and communication of technical concepts.
• Experience with large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• End-user orientation.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve internal platform capabilities to improve delivery speed and reliability.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, environment patterns, monitoring, and release controls.
• Standardize observability and release controls across applications.
• Create self-service platform capabilities, reusable templates, starter repositories, configuration patterns, and automation.
• Integrate enterprise testing tooling with source control, CI/CD, observability, issue tracking, reporting, and standards-enforcement mechanisms.
• Act as a hands-on platform leader who sets standards, drives adoption, troubleshoots complex issues, and prevents fragmentation across teams.
• Serve as a platform and DevSecOps technical lead for CI/CD integration, environment consistency, observability, release controls, secure provisioning, and reusable self-service capabilities.
• Contribute platform architecture, tooling, dashboard, transition, and operational documentation required for ATT deliverables and Government reviews.
