Job summary

Hire Velocity is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager for our facility in Bensalem, PA. The role leads day-to-day Northeastern operations, overseeing staffing, safety, compliance, and end-to-end service delivery to customers around the clock.

You will drive profitability, manage driver performance, and coordinate all terminal activities, with a focus on on-time and safe product delivery, and developing new business opportunities with customers.

Qualifications

• Must be a LEADER with ability to motivate and drive results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to perform under pressure.
• AS400 knowledge preferred and basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience in trucking operations and customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time, safe delivery of customers' products and provide professional communication.
• Manage terminal P&L and take actions to improve profitability and control costs.
• Coordinate all operations to maximize personnel and equipment utilization.
• Evaluate processes and implement improvements for efficiency and reporting.
• Maintain timely information flow between company and drivers.
• Manage driver performance, training, and development; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee driver expectations, retention, pay accuracy, and home time compliance.
• Direct operations, maintenance, and tank wash teams; oversee rates review as needed.
• Promote business growth, customer and driver satisfaction, and service marketing.
• Train office staff and drivers on procedures; assist in recruiting new drivers.
• Oversee hiring of best-qualified applicants for open positions; support recruiting as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of terminal payroll through dispatch accuracy.
