Job summary

Tompkins Bank & Trust in Town of Ithaca, NY seeks an experienced Teller Supervisor to oversee the Teller Unit, ensure accurate paying and receiving services, and support branch operations in the Head Teller's absence.

You will supervise staff, balance cash, process daily settlement, manage reports, and promote cross-selling while maintaining compliance with bank policies. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a related position.
• Proficient reading, writing, grammar, accounting, analytical and mathematics skills.
• Proficient PC skills.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.

Responsibilities

• Accept and process deposit transactions.
• Cash checks and process withdrawal transactions within authority and policy.
• Accept and process utility payments.
• Sell Official/Certified/Traveler's Checks.
• Sell and redeem EE Savings Bonds and Municipal/Treasury bond coupons.
• Issue approved cash advances on bank accepted credit cards.
• Transfer funds between accounts as required.
• Balance general ledger and demand deposit accounts related to paying and receiving functions.
• Prepare and review reports related to the function.
• Maintain cash management records and inventories.
