Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Hot Springs, SD is seeking a Senior Teller to handle daily teller transactions in both lobby and drive-up locations and contribute to outstanding client service. You will develop and maintain client relationships, identify referral opportunities, and utilize 360View to document activities and referrals to business partners.

The role requires 1–3 years of cash handling and customer service experience, strong math and communication skills, and a commitment to bank policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years experience in cash handling and customer service.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of digital platforms and CRM systems.
• Adheres to check and cash-handling standards.
• Completes required training.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, loan payments, mortgage payments, credit card payments, escrow payments, cash advances, check cashing, and cashier’s checks.
• Delivers personalized client service in person and over the phone.
• Processes additional transactions and currency transaction reports.
• Completes special client requests and referrals.
• Reconciles cash drawer and manages cash supply.
• Uses 360View to record activities and referrals to partners.
• Processes consumer credit card applications.
• Identifies cross-sell and referral opportunities and directs clients to bankers.
• Collaborates with team to achieve results and maintain confidentiality.
