Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Senior Teller for our branch to lead teller and transaction operations, coach frontline staff, and ensure accurate cash handling and exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes adherence to bank policies, operational controls, and risk management. You will oversee cash operations, vault management, anti-fraud controls, and support onboarding of new staff, while promoting our products and services to customers and maintaining high service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of teller experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer engagement.
• Strong attention to detail and math proficiency.
• Ability to learn policies and procedures and adhere to them.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to coach staff.
• Thorough knowledge of bank products and services.

Responsibilities

• Model relationship-building and coach frontline staff on customer conversations.
• Perform customer transactions accurately and professionally.
• Promote bank products and services through referrals.
• Lead teller and transaction operations with guidance to staff.
• Oversee cash operations, vault management, and fraud prevention.
• Maintain cash controls and security procedures.
• Assist with account opening and maintenance and service requests.
• Prepare regulatory and internal reports and support audits.
• Travel to nearby branches may be required.
