Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Telemetry (TM) and Flight Termination Systems (FTS) Engineer in Tucson to provide technical leadership, develop advanced system architectures, and drive execution for TM/FTS programs. The role focuses on telemetry and flight termination product design, power systems, and precision analog/mixed-signal electronics.

You will lead cross-functional teams on architecting, designing, and qualifying PCBA-level solutions, while mentoring engineers and ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• 8+ years of relevant experience in electronics design.
• Experience generating and using electrical design specifications.
• Deep experience with analog and mixed-signal circuit design (op-amps, filters, A/D, etc.).
• Experience with analysis tools (MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica).

Responsibilities

• Lead system and circuit-level architecture design for TM/FTS subsystems.
• Drive PCBA lifecycle development from requirements to qualification.
• Lead technical reviews, failure investigations, and supplier engagements.
• Oversee analog and mixed-signal circuit design, testing, and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and shape engineering best practices.
