Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Telemetry (TM) and Flight Termination Systems (FTS) Engineer in Tucson, AZ to provide technical leadership and develop advanced system architectures for Telemetry and Flight Termination products.

You will drive design activities from requirements through qualification, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with rigorous standards. The role offers an onsite schedule with relocation eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience with electronics design at system/subsystem level.
Experience generating/using electrical design specifications.
Deep experience with analog and mixed-signal circuit design (op-amps, filters, A/Ds, etc.).
Experience with analysis tools (MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica or similar).

Responsibilities

Lead system and circuit-level architecture design for TM/FTS subsystems.
Drive full lifecycle development of PCBA designs from requirements to integration.
Lead technical reviews, investigations, and cross-functional teams.
Oversee analog and mixed-signal circuit design, testing, and documentation.
Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and promote best practices.
