Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Telemetry (TM) and Flight Termination Systems (FTS) Engineer in Tucson, AZ. You will lead system and circuit design for TM/FTS, drive PCBA development, and mentor engineers while ensuring compliance with DoD/security standards.

The role emphasizes leadership in architecture and hardware design, with a strong background in analog/mixed-signal circuits and extensive MATLAB/ECAD usage. On-site, with relocation eligibility and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelors degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electronics design at system/subsystem level.
• Experience generating/using electrical design specifications.
• Deep analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience (FET/BJT, op-amps, etc.).
• Experience with analysis tools such as MATLAB or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and circuit-level architecture design for TM/FTS subsystems.
• Drive PCBA-level design development from requirements to qualification.
• Lead technical reviews, failure investigations, and supplier engagements.
• Oversee analog/mixed-signal circuit design, testing, and documentation.
• Create engineering artifacts to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and shape best practices.
