Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr. Telecommunications Designer for a hybrid, geographically flexible US-based position. You will lead telecom design portions, develop 3D BIM models and coordinate with architects and other disciplines on large, multi-building facilities, including semiconductor manufacturing projects.

The role emphasizes client interface, standards compliance (TIA/NFC), and collaboration within Jacobs’ design teams to deliver high-quality design packages.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in telecommunications design and construction.
• Knowledge of telecommunications industry association (TIA) standards.
• Knowledge of BICSI design practices and NEC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of large telecom design projects as a scope owner.
• Develop fully coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit MEP.
• Coordinate with architects and other discipline engineers on design packages.
• Interface with client counterparts to meet project needs.
