Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance, installation and testing of telecom equipment in ISP environments.
• Experience with Avaya and VoIP systems and industry standards (NEC, BICSI, EIA/TIA).
• Proficient use of cable testers, fusion splicers and related tools.
• Ability to read construction drawings and system schematics for installation.
• Knowledge of DoD guidelines and quality assurance concepts.
• Strong documentation skills with redlines, cable records and QC checklists.
• Ability to lead junior technicians and interface with engineers and government reps.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test copper/fiber cabling in ISP environments and racks.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on telecom systems and infrastructure.
• Review drawings and schematics to support installation and configuration.
• Conduct QC inspections and document results to standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA).
• Verify adherence to specs and customer requirements; update as-built docs.
• Maintain inventory, assist with site surveys, and ensure safety and PPE compliance.
