Job summary

CSEngineering seeks a Telecommunications Designer to provide telecom infrastructure and construction-management support for the VA Milwaukee EHRM Infrastructure Upgrade project. The role covers Telecommunications Rooms, fiber/network infrastructure, and integration with the construction program.

Responsibilities include reviews, inspections, coordinating with government and contractors, and providing technical recommendations to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Security & Facility Access.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in design/construction of telecom and data communications infrastructure.
• Active BICSI RCDD certification.
• Experience with Telecommunications Rooms/MDF/IDF, fiber/backbone, copper cabling, ISP/OSP, and testing/certification.

Responsibilities

• Review telecom drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and as-built docs.
• Conduct constructability and field-condition reviews.
• Evaluate contractor installation against design intent.
• Support development/review of Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs).
• Coordinate telecom requirements with electrical, mechanical, architectural, IT/network, and construction teams.
• Participate in design reviews, meetings, inspections, and coordination sessions.
• Provide technical recommendations to government/project leadership.
