Job summary

CSEngineering is seeking a RCDD Telecommunications Engineer to support the VA Milwaukee EHRM Infrastructure Upgrade project. The role blends telecom design for Telecommunications Rooms and fiber/copper infrastructure with construction oversight, quality assurance, and cross‑functional coordination with Government, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and Commissioning teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum six (6) years in design/construction of telecom and data infrastructure.
Active BICSI RCDD certification is required.
Experience with Telecommunications Rooms/MDF/IDF, fiber backbone, copper cabling, ISP/OSP infra, cable trays, patch panels, and testing.

Responsibilities

Assess Telecommunications Rooms (TRs) and verify layouts, cabling, power, grounding, and security interfaces.
Oversee fiber routing, splicing, testing, and copper cabling installations to meet specs.
Inspect installations for compliance with drawings, standards, and project requirements.
Review Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) and RFIs; coordinate with electrical, IT, and construction teams.
Coordinate telecom requirements with government personnel and contractors; lead design reviews and field inspections.
Provide technical recommendations to government/project leadership and support turnover and acceptance.
