Job summary

CSEngineering seeks a qualified RCDD Engineer to support the VA EHRM Infrastructure Upgrade project, providing full-time telecommunications design and construction oversight. The role covers TRs, fiber/backbone, and copper cabling, ensuring alignment with project drawings, specs, and DoD standards.

Offsite and onsite work is required with coordination among Government, GC, Architect/Engineer, and IT teams. Strong QA, documentation, and field inspection skills are essential for successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum six (6) years of design/construction experience in telecommunications and data infrastructure.
• Active BICSI RCDD certification is required.
• Experience interpreting telecommunications drawings, specifications, RFIs, and as-built docs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Telecommunications Rooms (TRs) layouts, rack configurations, cable management, and security interfaces.
• Oversee fiber/backbone infrastructure, including ISP/OSP, termination, splicing, testing, and certification.
• Review copper cabling installations (Cat6/6A) and ensure bend radii, pathways, labeling, and workmanship meet specs.
• Review drawings, submittals, and shop drawings; conduct constructability and field-condition reviews.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, IT/network teams; participate in design reviews and coordination meetings.
• Provide technical recommendations to Government/project leadership and support QA/compliance with DoD requirements.
