Telecommunications Systems Engineer opportunity supporting large, complex facility design projects within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Position Overview

This role leads the telecom scope on major projects, designing and coordinating:

• Structured cabling systems
• Outside Plant (OSP) and backbone distribution
• Communication room layouts & rack elevations
• Wired & wireless device plans (including DAS / emergency responder radio systems)
• Fully coordinated 3D BIM models using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SmartPlant & Navisworks

Designs are developed in accordance with TIA, BICSI, NEC (NFPA 70), and industry standards while working closely with architects, engineers, and client stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of telecommunications design experience
• Knowledge of TIA, BICSI practices & NEC (NFPA 70)
• Experience leading telecom design efforts
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks & Bluebeam
• Experience with commissioning/start-up and editing specifications

Preferred:

• PE license or BICSI RCDD
