Job summary

Henderson Engineers seeks a Lead Telecom Designer for our Mission Critical practice. You will design advanced building systems, prepare documents, and mentor design staff across disciplines.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, reviewing drawings, supporting business development, and ensuring quality and schedule adherence. Travel to job sites and client meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 9+ years of experience; or 10 years with HS diploma.
• FE exam completion is preferred; sustainability accreditations welcome.
• Proficient in engineering design software and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or direct design documents, layouts, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead projects from concept to completion with multi-discipline teams.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and project teams throughout the cycle.
• Visit job sites to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
