Job summary

Truist in Charlotte, NC (with locations in Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA and Atlanta, GA) seeks a senior risk professional to join the second line of defense for Technology Risk. This role emphasizes independent oversight, risk reporting and advisory support across multiple technology domains.

You will partner with Enterprise Technology to challenge risk programs, assess controls and drive risk-maturity improvements to protect performance, security and service availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of banking, technology, operations or risk management experience.
• Strong business acumen, management experience, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of management.
• Experience operating independently and navigating ambiguity to deliver value.
• Proficiency with data analysis and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight (LOD2) for Truist Technology and related units through risk identification, mitigation, monitoring and reporting.
• Serve as SME and steward of the Technology Risk Framework to identify, report and mitigate technology risks.
• Assess maturity of technology controls to support performance, stability, security and service availability.
• Foster a proactive risk culture through collaboration with technology teams and internal partners; interface with senior leadership.
• Review and challenge outcomes of first-line risk program execution.
• Monitor regulatory, legal and audit matters for assigned oversight areas and ensure timely action.
• Lead complex, enterprise-impact projects and provide informal leadership to others.
• Bridge business and IT functions in interdisciplinary matrix environments; balance advisory and implementation roles.
