Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a senior Technology Risk professional to provide independent risk oversight (LoD2) across Technology Risk Framework domains. You will partner with Enterprise Technology and stakeholders, advise on risk topics, and monitor and report technology risk to support performance, stability, security and service availability.

Required: Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in banking, technology, operations or risk management; strong communication and executive delivery.

• 10+ years of banking, technology, operations or risk management experience.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
• Experience operating independently and navigating ambiguity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management.
• Ability to organize and manage complex initiatives and deliver executive-level work products.
• Comfort with data and applying analysis for insights.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight (LoD2) for Truist Technology and related units.
• Serve as subject matter expert on the Technology Risk Framework to identify and mitigate risks.
• Assess maturity of technology and adequacy of controls to ensure performance, stability, security and availability.
• Strengthen risk culture through proactive risk-focused routines with technology teams and partners.
• Review and challenge outcomes of first-line-of-defense risk program execution.
• Monitor legal, regulatory, compliance and audit matters for assigned areas.
• Lead complex projects with enterprise impact and provide informal leadership.
• Bridge business and IT functions; adapt between advisory and implementation roles.
