Job summary

Truist in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced risk professional to join the second line of defense (LOD2) Technology Risk team. You will provide independent risk oversight across Technology Risk Framework domains and partner with Enterprise Technology teams to identify and mitigate risks.

You will advise on risk topics, challenge risk programs, and independently evaluate technology risk to support performance, security and service availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of banking, technology, operations or risk management experience.
• Strong business acumen / knowledge, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills demonstrating the ability to establish credibility with all levels of management effectively. Demonstrated effective influencing skills.
• Demonstrated consistent execution and delivery of high-quality work products
• Comfort with data and applying analysis to derive value-add insights
• Adept with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provides independent risk oversight for Truist Technology and related units within the second line of defense.
• Serve as a subject matter expert of the Technology Risk Framework to identify and mitigate risks.
• Execute independent assessment of technology risk and adequacy of controls to ensure performance, security and availability.
• Strengthen risk culture through proactive routines with technology teams and partners.
• Review and challenge outcomes of first-line-risk program execution.
• Monitor regulatory and audit matters for assigned oversight area and ensure timely action.
• Contribute to complex projects with enterprise impact beyond risk management.
• Operate effectively in interdisciplinary, matrix environments.
