Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a seasoned technology leader to guide a large team responsible for hardware, software, and network design and build activities. You will ensure alignment with architectural objectives, certify deploy readiness, and provide mentorship to engineers including direct reports.

In this role you will drive process improvements, manage project execution, oversee documentation and testing, and partner with leadership to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience with enterprise technologies.
• 3–5+ years of project management experience delivering projects.
• Experience influencing, leading, and coaching without direct leadership.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Experience working in a multi-vendor environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to a team of highly technical employees.
• Deliver robust technical solutions and ensure on-time, high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee documentation and testing of engineering designs.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and SDLC compliance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Report department performance and coordinate with technology leadership.
