Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a senior network engineer to provide technical leadership in designing, deploying, and supporting complex networks. You will manage routing/switching across campus and data centers, align changes with security policies, and deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

The role requires in-depth collaboration across IT disciplines and ongoing documentation updates. In-office collaboration is required four days per week with one day remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years of network design and engineering experience required.
• Strong analytical and customer service abilities.
• Ability to communicate and articulate technical information across various organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform highly complex assignments.
• Network design, architecture, management, and deployment of routing and switching.
• Lead proper execution of network changes per security policies.
• Troubleshoot network performance and security issues.
• Research and establish innovative capacity planning solutions.
• Introduce automation for routine tasks where possible.
• Collaborate with Information Technology disciplines.
• Create and update documentation with relevant information.
• Escalation during major incidents and outages as needed.
• Perform life-cycle support for deployments and upgrades.
• Align project scoping with architectural objectives.
• Contribute to process and best-practice refinements.
