Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to guide multi-disciplinary teams through design, development, and deployment of complex applications. You will drive architecture, coding standards, and SDLC governance across projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business partners, ensuring reliable performance, and mentoring junior engineers. In-office collaboration is expected four days a week with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience required.
• 7+ years of experience coding/designing in multiple programming languages and in targeted software stack.
• Experience working with vendor partners (on- and off-shore).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development team through design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
• Create low level design documents and engineering specifications.
• Ensure code adheres to standards and is unit tested prior to QA.
• Oversee code reviews and maintain project documentation.
• Provide mentorship and governance to development teams.
• Address production support issues and root-cause analysis.
