Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. during Signal Hill, CA is seeking a pole technician to inspect utility poles, perform work orders, and maintain safety on job sites outdoors. You will use hammers, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and other equipment while following safety protocols and company procedures.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work with daily variety and opportunities to advance within a large employee-owned company, with comprehensive training and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program (EHAP) and OSHA training.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: pole test and treat experience or related work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses and certificates as required by state law.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.
