Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Foreman to lead a 2-5 person tree crew in the Kinsman, OH area, performing pruning and removal for major electric utilities, on-site and safety-focused.

Responsibilities include mentoring new employees, maintaining tools, planning work, and ensuring compliance with pruning guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits and CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid/CPR and defensive driving courses upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-A/B with Air Brake or willingness to obtain.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced climbing Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, joining our team servicing the Kinsman, OH region.

Job Duties

Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal


• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects


• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines


• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks


• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.


• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
