Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Carrollton, OH, is seeking a Line Clearance Manual Crew Foreman with CDL and climbing experience to join our team servicing Carrollton / Carroll County. This on-site role offers a full-time hourly position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Practical requirements include a valid driver’s license, line clearance or related tree experience, and the ability to complete Davey training programs upon hire. CDL Class A/B with endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required at hire.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred.
• Commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) with air brake endorsement preferred.
• Pesticide licenses/certifications may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and other structures.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Perform job-site inspections with planning and task execution.
• Maintain and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Mentor and train new employees.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Manual Crew Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing Carrollton / Carroll County, Ohio.

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors


• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire


• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire


• Required: valid driver’s license


• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain


• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work


• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law


• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional

Job Duties
