Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Tech Writer at the Tech III level to create and maintain detailed documentation for the Amazon Q Developer features. You will partner with software engineers, product managers, and SMEs to understand behavior, plan content, and ensure accuracy and usability.

You will write structured content in XML/HTML, follow AWS style guides, lead reviews, and help onboard new writers.

Qualifications

Create and maintain technical documentation for software products.
Document complex systems and workflows with engineering and product teams.
Structured authoring using XML or HTML; apply content strategy and IA.
Test software features, report defects, and incorporate customer feedback.
UX writing and adherence to style guides; analyze analytics and agile processes.
Facilitate meetings, capacity planning, and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, publish, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for Amazon Q Developer features.
Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and SMEs to plan content using AWS Content Strategy.
Lead documentation reviews and provide UX guidance for user-facing text.
Develop onboarding docs and internal wikis for new AWS writers.
Perform team-lead duties: backlog grooming, sprint planning, and analytics reporting.
