Job summary

7Th Sky Tech is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support AWS Boost, a platform for data center operations to plan and execute lifecycle activities. The writer will create end-user guides, developer docs, API references, onboarding materials, and release notes, collaborating with engineers, PMs, UX designers, and global operations for accurate, scalable documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Technical Writing experience focused on software, technology products, or technical systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to create clear, concise, task-based technical documentation.
• Experience developing documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with structured documentation formats and tools such as Markdown, HTML, Wikis, Docs-as-Code, or CCCS.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and maintain task-based user guides, onboarding materials, FAQs, release notes, and technical documentation.
• Develop developer-facing content including API references, developer guides, process-authoring documentation, and workflow documentation.
• Work directly with software engineers, product managers, and UX designers to understand product functionality and technical requirements.
• Convert complex software workflows and operational processes into clear, concise, step-by-step instructions.
• Develop and maintain documentation standards, templates, style guidelines, and information architecture.
• Validate technical documentation by testing procedures and verifying information against the product.
