Job summary

Equifax, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to produce high-quality technical documents for external customers and internal employees. You will work with design teams to standardize forms and with development teams to maintain content accuracy.

You will create user manuals, training materials, and illustrative content using modern collaboration tools and automated publication methods. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and can deliver publications aligned with Equifax style

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in English, Technical Writing or related
• 5+ years of Technical Writer experience in a fast paced environment
• Ability to produce effective user documentation based on audience analysis
• Able to work with minimal supervision and deliver high quality deliverables
• Experience using technical documentation tools, processes, and delivery methods
• Excellent written and verbal English grammar skills
• Familiarity with Agile software development and iterative cadence
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to conform writing style to proprietary style guides
• Understand usability concepts and collaborate with SMEs across time zones

Responsibilities

• Create technical documentation for complex software applications
• Maintain consistent docs for enterprise customers, global teams, and staff
• Establish tools, templates, and methods for effective deliverables
• Coordinate with design/branding to ensure standards compliance
• Collaborate with software teams for technical accuracy
• Work with writers across alliances to standardize guidelines
• Ensure publications follow Equifax and industry best practices
• Differentiate conceptual, procedural, and reference content
• Manage single-source and reusable content for automatic updates
• Understand version control in content management systems
• Administer conditional content for regional audiences
