Job summary

Foundation Software is seeking a Technical Writer to create and maintain user documentation, online help, guides, tutorials, release notes and training materials. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Programmer Analysts and QA to ensure accuracy and usefulness for users.

The role emphasizes translating technical information into clear content, maintaining multiple formats, and communicating software updates to clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Technical Communication, English, or similar field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Thrive on managing writing projects from start to finish
• FrameMaker, RoboHelp or MadCap Flare familiarity is a plus

Responsibilities

• Translate technical information into clear, user-friendly content.
• Prepare and maintain software documentation for online help and other formats.
• Prepare and maintain support documentation and training materials.
• Create and send email communications about software updates and maintenance windows.
• Report quality issues discovered in documentation to QA Analysts.
• Collaborate professionally with coworkers and supervisors and stay current on program changes.
