Job summary

Veterans EZ Info Inc. is seeking a Tech Writer to support a Department of Veterans Affairs project within the Data Migration & Syndication effort of the EHRM-IO.

The candidate will write and edit highly complex IT documents and coordinate documentation activities. You will interview technical staff, translate requirements into user manuals and design documents, and ensure documentation adheres to customer guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, computer science, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant technical writing experience
  • Ability to interface with technical staff and end-users to understand functional requirements to develop processes and procedures.
  • Experience and understanding of good documentation practices and proficiency with core Microsoft software/systems such as Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with Change Management functional, regression, performance, etc.
  • Experience with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), mainly creating the User's Requirements Document and translation into a Functional Requirements Document and Design Document (when applicable).
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance/update of technical documents needed for developers to start coding, distribution of final codes, training guides, and physical training for code deployment.
  • Experience in the VA or other federal organizations desired.
  • Experience with Data Migration and Data Syndication within the VA desired.
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance.

VetsEZ is currently seeking a Tech Writer to join a team to support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The position will support the Data Migration & Syndication effort within the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO).
