Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a technical support professional to provide expert guidance to corporate accounts in corrugated packaging. You will deliver field support, troubleshoot machinery issues, and educate customers on capabilities to improve operational efficiency and relationships.

The role requires strong technical acumen, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication across all organizational levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the corrugated manufacturing packaging industry with machinery/operational experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with wraparound case packers, case erectors, tray formers and mandrel forming equipment.
• Ability to create contribution reports quantifying value for customers.
• Knowledge of paper manufacturing, corrugation/conversion, and supply chain considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for assigned corporate accounts, offering plants technical expertise, field support, and troubleshooting for machinery and operational issues.
• Collaborate with customers and Smurfit Westrock employees at various levels to achieve optimal satisfaction.
• Educate customers on Smurfit Westrock capabilities to improve efficiency and relationships.
• Identify and recommend solutions for technical issues at customers and facilities.
• Coordinate new customer specification development and maintenance using supply chain data.
• Conduct scope audits to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Create contribution reports to verify savings and communicate value.
• Research and evaluate new products and technical innovations.
• Manage internal and external relationships with value-added service solutions.
• Provide consultation and training on corrugated packaging capabilities.
