Job summary

Datalogic seeks a Fixed Retail Scanner Technical Support Specialist to provide expert technical support for Magellan scanners and AI-based retail solutions across the product lifecycle, from validation to deployment and optimization.

You will collaborate with Field Application Engineers, partners, and customers, gaining experience with Linux-based embedded systems, POS integration, and data engineering while addressing field issues and contributing to product improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong hardware and embedded software knowledge for high-tech devices.
• Experience in troubleshooting embedded systems and POS integrations.
• Proficient in Windows/Linux, scripting, and software development.
• Ability to write technical docs and deliver trainings for FAEs and partners.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-sales activities and field deployments with FAEs and partners.
• Troubleshoot field issues, reproduce problems, and work with R&D on fixes.
• Maintain field data and documentation in CRM and lifecycle tools.
• Assist with HW/SW customizations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical presentations and hands-on demonstrations.
