Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years electrical industry experience as manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ years sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with common software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel 25–50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Calls on client and representatives to promote desirability of technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients for specified products.
• Researches customer needs and develops product and application information, demonstrating solutions.
• Gathers and shares technical information with internal and external customers.
• First line of pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Supports account representatives in identifying new sales opportunities.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Understands market conditions and growth opportunities.
• Keeps up with industry trends and developments affecting target markets.
• Promotes value-added products in competitive situations.
• Manages marketing programs and product launches from product lines.
• Maintains relationships with vendor product managers and selling resources.
