Job summary

Applied Molecules LLC is seeking a seasoned Technical Sales Manager to grow our UV, EB and LED curable coatings business across graphic arts and composites in a remote US territory. You will lead trials, engage printers and automotive part makers, and partner with chemists and the Michigan plant for solutions.

You will build a strong pipeline, manage forecasts, and attend trade shows like LOUPE, CAMX and RadTech while travelling about half the time to customers and labs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of B2B technical sales in specialty chemicals, coatings, adhesives or inks.
• Hands-on knowledge of UV, UV LED or EB curing, with a track record selling into graphic arts or composites.
• Comfort on a press floor or production line: running trials, reading results and talking with operators, plant managers and buyers alike.
• A proven record of opening new accounts and growing existing ones.
• Willingness to travel about 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Sell UV, UV LED and EB overprint varnishes, coatings, primers and laminating adhesives to narrow web label printers, flexible packaging converters, and folding carton and corrugated printers.
• Lead conversations on LED curing, low- and no-migration packaging, barrier and tactile coatings, cold foil and inkjet coatings, and compliance topics such as GIO, Prop 65 and PFAS.
• Run press trials with customers and our lab, and turn successful trials into repeat business.
• Sell one-part, light-curable edge sealers, paint-pop primers and sealers, and fast UV LED repair fillers to automotive and heavy truck composite part makers.
• Show plants how in-line UV LED repair improves first-pass yield and cuts scrap compared with two-part body fillers.
• Open doors for energy-curable hotmelts and PSAs in automotive bonding.
• Build and manage a pipeline, forecast accurately and keep CRM records current.
• Represent Applied Molecules at trade shows and bring market insight back to the team.
