Job summary

Steven Label LLC in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal teams. You will own technical inquiries, review specifications, and address manufacturing concerns while enabling Business Development to pursue new opportunities.

The role requires a technical degree and at least 5 years in manufacturing or engineering with strong communication.

Qualifications

• A high-school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business or related field preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years manufacturing or engineering background, preferably in technical sales, applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar
• Proven track record of positive customer-facing experience in a manufacturing setting
• Excellent Communication skills
• A minimum of 2 years of project coordination and successful track record of managing from cradle to grave
• Previous ERP experience
• Microsoft 365 proficiency
• Experience in printing, labels, medical devices, overlays, membrane switches, folding cartons or regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Previous experience in an ISO 13485 or similar preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel as needed to support business development on customer visits as needed (10% of time).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers after business is awarded.
• Own technical inquiries through resolution and lead troubleshooting activities.
• Lead specification clarification and corrective action discussions with customers.
• Coordinate with Estimating to ensure accurate requirements and quotations.
• Support design-for-manufacture discussions and manufacturability reviews.
• Track technical projects and drive cross-functional meetings to closure.
• Maintain predictable and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
