Job summary

Steven Label is seeking a highly technical and customer-focused Sales Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between customers, Business Development, Estimating, Engineering, Customer Service and Manufacturing in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

The role owns resolution of technical questions, product challenges, specification reviews, and manufacturing concerns, enabling the BD team to focus on new business development and account growth.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing or engineering background, preferably in technical sales or related roles.
• Proven track record of positive customer-facing experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum 2 years of project coordination experience, cradle-to-grave management.
• Previous ERP experience required.
• Experience in printing, labels, medical devices, overlays, or regulated manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers after award; own inquiries through resolution.
• Lead troubleshooting, product reviews, specification clarification, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Business Development on visits, presentations, and reviews.
• Bridge between customers and internal operations; work with Estimating for accurate quotes and requirements.
• Support design-for-manufacture discussions and manufacturability reviews.
• Track projects, customer requests, and open issues to closure; lead cross-functional meetings.
• Maintain predictable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
