Job summary

Salas O'Brien is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter for a remote Canada role. You will recruit engineers, architects, and other technical professionals across diverse disciplines, building strong pipelines and engaging passive candidates.

This is a cross-functional, multi-office role requiring strong market and credential knowledge and bilingual communication. You will partner with Talent Acquisition to maintain momentum, leverage data-driven sourcing, and ensure a high-quality candidate

Qualifications

• 5+ years recruiting experience in AEC, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or similar technical fields.
• Experience sourcing passive candidates and managing candidate pipelines across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and French.
• Knowledge of technical credentials (P.Eng, ing, PL, EIT, RA, Arch, LEED, CxA) or ability to learn quickly.
• Proven remote-work effectiveness and cross-time-zone collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leadership to support recruiting needs across disciplines.
• Manage full recruiting lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and closing.
• Build and nurture proactive talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles and geographies.
• Develop multi-channel sourcing strategies beyond LinkedIn (referrals, associations, etc.).
• Conduct thorough candidate screens covering credentials, project experience, and compensation expectations.
• Present qualified diverse slates with market context and recommendations.
• Maintain timely recruitment records and collaborate with TA, HR, and leadership.
