Job summary

Harvey in San Francisco is seeking a dedicated Infrastructure and Platform recruiting partner. You’ll own full‑cycle recruitment for Core Infrastructure, Model Infrastructure, Database Infrastructure, and Backend Platform, partnering with engineering leaders to attract engineers from mid‑level to Staff.

This role requires deep technical fluency, a proven track record of hiring senior and Staff engineers, and a data‑driven approach to hiring.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full‑cycle technical recruiting, including meaningful time hiring infrastructure, platform, SRE, or platform engineers.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up where speed and quality both mattered.
• A track record of hiring senior and Staff‑level engineers, including passive candidates you sourced yourself.
• Enough technical fluency to distinguish between a platform engineer, SRE, and a database specialist.
• Strong relationships with hiring managers who treat you as a partner.
• Comfort with data; you use metrics to diagnose problems and influence decisions.
• You follow the infra and AI talent market and know where top engineers want to go next.
• Low ego and high ownership; you’ll roll up your sleeves to build the team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Infra and Platform leaders to turn roadmap priorities into a clear hiring plan.
• Build and maintain pipelines across infra specialties: distributed systems, cloud, Kubernetes, databases, SRE, ML/model serving, security.
• Map talent at companies that have solved infra at scale and run targeted outreach to passive senior and Staff+ engineers.
• Advise hiring managers on the infra talent market, including comp, offers, and level calibration.
• Run a high‑signal, candidate‑first interview process and keep interviewers calibrated.
• Close competitive candidates by telling a clear Harvey infra story and its importance.
• Keep Ashby clean and use pipeline data to adjust course when needed.
• Improve how we hire infra talent through interview plans, sourcing playbooks, referrals, and events.
