Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Colorado Springs is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead multiple R&D programs in a fast-paced, DoD-focused setting.

You will oversee cost, schedule, and tasking across multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with government sponsors to deliver end-user products and training. You will work with engineers, physicists, and technicians to implement program objectives, manage scope changes, and provide status briefings.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field (engineering or sciences) required.
• 8–10 years of program management experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams to milestones.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work on-site/integration environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost, schedule, and tasking for multiple R&D programs.
• Act as technical liaison between customers, leads, and engineering teams.
• Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams to meet milestones.
• Communicate program directions to technicians and scientists.
• Inform team of scope changes and updates promptly.
• Interface with division directors to align technical visions.
• Maintain regular customer communications and manage changes.
• Prepare technical proposals, requirements, and schedules.
• Support strategic planning for business opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers to align with program mission.
