Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Colorado Springs seeks a Senior Security Manager to lead the DoD security program across contracts and classified environments.

You will advise executive leadership, coordinate with government customers, and drive security policy and risk management. The role requires deep DoD requirements knowledge, proven leadership, and the ability to build scalable programs in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in security management, business, criminal justice, intelligence, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10–12 years of progressive DoD, federal, defense contractor, or industrial security experience.
• Experience leading enterprise or multi-program security organizations.
• Strong knowledge of DoD and federal security requirements.
• Experience with government security inspections or assessments.
• Experience administering security programs and incident response.
• US Citizen capable of obtaining DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DoD security program and related policies, procedures, and controls.
• Establish strategy, governance, and metrics for government programs.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/federal security requirements and obligations.
• Advise leadership on risk, requirements, and threats.
• Develop security operating procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate investigations of security incidents and remediation.
• Partner with IT, facilities, HR, legal, and program teams.
