Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) invites applications for a Program Manager in Colorado Springs to lead multiple R&D programs in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage cost, schedule, and scope, coordinating with government sponsors and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver end-user products. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and planning skills, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and interact with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or project field.
• 2–4 years of program management experience.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing direct management of cost, schedule, and tasking for multiple R&D HPEM programs.
• Act as liaison between customers, technical lead, and engineering team to execute objectives.
• Provide oversight and leadership to multi-disciplinary teams to meet milestones.
• Communicate program directions to technicians through senior scientists.
• Prepare technical proposals, including systems requirements, schedules, budgets and risks.
• Support internal R&D strategic planning for growth opportunities.
• Keep junior engineers aligned with the program mission.
