Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Technical Program Director in the Greater Seattle area to define, manage, and deliver a portfolio of new products within Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and drive program readiness from concept through production hardware.

The role requires a deep technical background, business acumen, and executive leadership to execute the product roadmap in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Business, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Management, or similar.
• 8+ years’ experience in program/project management and business management in development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary development projects with scope, schedule, and cost control.
• Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with PM tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Aerospace experience including vehicle development, production and operations.
• Experience managing major subcontracts and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for program deliverables and customer statements of work.
• Lead cost, schedule, risk, opportunity, and change management for development programs.
• Organize budgets, schedules, and plans to ensure hardware delivery.
• Communicate with internal organizations and suppliers to guide planning.
• Create and manage project schedules, WBS, and cost baselines; report variances.
• Lead planning/controls, finance, procurement, and EVMS-related activities.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Technology for interfaces.
