Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Technical Product Support Engineer for the Precision Surface Processing division. You will be the escalation point to keep PSP systems running at peak performance for leading semiconductor manufacturers.

The role combines deep technical problem-solving with customer interaction and collaboration with engineering teams to influence product quality and future design improvements. Domestic and international travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in semiconductor equipment field service or support with mech/electrical systems.
• Experience supporting high-tech capital equipment in field service roles.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own resolution of complex technical escalations from the field with root-cause analysis.
• Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and process issues on PSP wet process platforms.
• Provide expert technical support during installations, upgrades, and NPI deployments.
• Assist in failure analysis and document findings for corrective actions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and training content.
• Represent customer feedback in design reviews and cross-functional meetings.
• Support pre-release testing and field adoption for NPI.
