Job summary

CVS Health is modernizing its Investment Management data platform by migrating from on-prem SQL Server to a cloud-native BigQuery-based solution on Google Cloud. The Senior Technical Manager will lead the migration, establish governance, and enable analytics through Looker and AI-powered workflows, guiding cross-functional teams through a high-impact transformation.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, platform engineering, or related technology leadership roles.
Strong hands-on or leadership experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery architecture, data modeling, performance tuning, cost optimization, and security.
Proven experience leading large-scale data warehouse modernization or cloud migration programs, from SQL Server or Oracle to cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns, data governance, ELT/ETL, metadata management, and data lineage.
Strong Python programming for data engineering, automation, analytics, APIs, or AI/ML workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead modernization of Investment Management data workflows and analytics platforms.
Oversee migration strategy and governance for enterprise data assets.
Drive adoption of Looker, BigQuery, and Vertex AI across teams.
