Job summary

PCI Federal (PCIF) is seeking a skilled Technical Editor in a hybrid role based in McLean, VA, reporting to the Program Manager. You will edit technical brochures, SOPs, research reports and other highly technical documents, ensuring accuracy, reference checks, fact checks and copyright compliance.

You will work closely with engineers and developers to translate complex data into clear, authoritative content, manage the full lifecycle from outline to publication, and uphold the GPO Style Manual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, English, or a related scientific/technical field.
• 3-10 years of experience in technical writing or documentation.
• Transportation experience, especially in highway and surface transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Edit technical brochures, standard operating procedures, research reports, technical summaries, and other highly technical documents.
• Ensure adherence to the GPO Style Manual and integrate complex data tables with narrative text.
• Transform raw data and engineering jargon into authoritative, publication-ready documents.
• Manage the full lifecycle of a document from outline to final publication.
