Job summary

A private label company based in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a skilled Technical Designer to manage technical development for women's woven apparel. This role requires a strong background in women's fashion, with responsibilities including creating tech packs, leading fit sessions, and working cross-functionally with design and production teams. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in high-volume production and expertise in garment construction, grading, and pattern correction. Competitive salary offered.

Qualifications

• 6 - 10 years of Technical Design experience in women's apparel.
• Strong background in women's woven categories.
• Experience in high‑volume production environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed tech packs and garment specifications.
• Lead fit sessions and provide actionable fit corrections.
• Communicate construction details and spec updates to factories.
• Review and approve samples from proto through production stages.
• Ensure accuracy of grading and garment measurements.

Skills

Technical Design experience in women's apparel

Knowledge of grading and garment construction

Ability to lead fit sessions

Experience with PLM systems

Highly organized and detail‑oriented

Education

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
