Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join the Cyberpunk 2 team in North America. You will identify friction points, design designer workflows, and collaborate with engineering to extend tooling for designers.

The role supports hybrid or remote work within the US/Canada, with possible relocation to support Boston Hub. You will document designs, communicate across disciplines, and push for improvements in workflows, tools, and gameplay systems while staying current on industry

Qualifications

• 5+ years in games as a technical designer, with at least one shipped AAA title.
• Proficient in C++ within Unreal Engine 4 or 5; able to read and modify systems in code.
• Strong understanding of C++ and debugging to diagnose issues.
• Able to assess and improve designer workflows and tools.
• Passion for workflows and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Thrives in rapid iteration with adaptable, solution-focused mindset.
• Clear communicator who can document workflows and exchange feedback across disciplines.
• Enthusiastic about video games and current industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Systems Designer and Engineering Leads to resolve designer friction points.
• Design workflows and tooling for designers, including abilities and items.
• Bridge design and engineering to accelerate understanding across disciplines.
• Work with engineering to add features to improve designer capabilities.
• Ensure designs are well-documented and communicated across teams.
• Actively share feedback and ideas across multiple disciplines.
