Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join the Cyberpunk 2 team in North America. You will help unblock designer workflows and collaborate with engineering on authoring tools, driving efficiency across design disciplines.

You will report to the Lead Systems Designer and may work in a hybrid Boston hub location, with relocation support. Remote work within the continental US or Canada is also available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in games in a technical design capacity with at least one shipped AAA title.
• Experience writing C++ in Unreal Engine 4 or 5 in a responsible manner.
• High level of C++ comprehension and debugging ability.
• Ability to assess workflows and tools to improve designer efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify and help resolve friction points for designers in collaboration with engineering.
• Collaborate on workflows and designer authorship tools (abilities, items, etc.).
• Bridge design and engineering to accelerate understanding and efficiency.
• Work with engineering to extend features in the technical architecture for designers.
• Ensure clear designs with documentation, meetings, and cross-team communication.
• Engage in feedback exchange across multiple disciplines.
