Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join the Cyberpunk 2 team in North America. The role focuses on identifying friction points and unblocking workflows for all design disciplines, blending game design with engineering to drive efficient tooling and gameplay systems.

Hybrid from Boston or remote within the continental US/Canada is possible, with relocation assistance. The position reports to the Lead Systems Designer and is ideal for someone who thrives in fast iteration,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in games in a technical design role with one shipped AAA title.
• Experience writing C++ in Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
• Strong C++ comprehension and debugging to diagnose issues.
• Ability to assess workflows and tools to improve designer efficiency.
• Passion for workflows and sharing knowledge with the team.
• Adaptable and capable of rapid iteration and problem solving.
• Ability to explain design concepts clearly and document workflows.
• Interest in video games and current industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve friction points for designers with Lead Systems Designer.
• Collaborate with engineering on workflows and designer tools for abilities and items.
• Bridge design and engineering to accelerate understanding and efficiency.
• Work with engineering to extend functionality in the technical architecture.
• Ensure designs are well-documented and communicated across teams.
• Exchange feedback across multiple disciplines.
